THE MUSICIAN

Music

  • At age 16, With zero formal training, no singing lessons, and never having touched an instrument, he played his father a rap he had written and recorded himself. It was a revelation.

‍ ‍Ethan’s musical evolution was rapid and voracious. His early work was disarmingly authentic—rapping about his mother’s pasta, driving his C250, and life in the "818" (San Fernando Valley). He refused to adopt a fake persona or chase trends. As his father noted, "He didn't need to be this gangster rapper... He was just Ethan."

  • Drawing from an eclectic palette of influences ranging from Eminem to Norah Jones and Nirvana, Ethan became a genre-bending "chameleon." He transitioned fluidly from rap to melodic vocals, mastering auto-tune not as a crutch, but as an instrument. His work ethic was relentless; he was known to record entire tracks in closets or small bedrooms, turning humble spaces into stadium-quality soundscapes. Friends recall him busting out songs like "Traffic" in under two hours, or freestyling entire verses in the car with a casual genius that left passengers stunned.

  • If the studio was his laboratory, the stage was his kingdom. Ethan was described by fellow artists as having a "magnetic" energy—a "little dude with the biggest presence." He didn't just perform at an audience; he performed with them. Whether it was dragging a shy friend on stage to conquer their stage fright or meticulously managing every aspect of a show from setup to cleanup, he treated every performance like a headline event.

  • Inrmuse Entertainment is an artist collective that Ethan put together. Whether it was a platform for his music, or events that brought creatives together, his goal was to cultivate relationships where artists could elevate each other during a time where everyone was isolated.

  • What set Ethan apart was his message. His lyrics were acorns of wisdom disguised as bars. In songs like "Think Twice," "Uncertain," and "Puerto Rico," he explored themes of self-worth, love, and positivity. He believed deeply that music had a "window"—a fleeting moment to capture the youth and energy of a generation—and he refused to waste a second of it.

He leaves behind a catalog that is vibrant, vulnerable, and unmistakably him. As one collaborator put it, "He was a star. It didn't matter what he was doing... catching a vibe in the car or rocking a stage. He was a star."

Bending Genres

During his time at Vancouver Film School, Ethan continued to elevate his artistic talents, not just visually, but sonically too. His sound continued to mature, and become less easily definable - while staying true to his core ideology of authenticity.

MARS

Another vibe, but layered deep underneath was a conversation that ignited Unapollogetic Media. Ethan was fascinated with space, and would talk about an idea he had for a visual album that begun with taking off in a space ship. The idea, and this reference song led to the name Unapollogetic media.
